He married (1) MARY ELIZABETH HYSELL about 1877 in Meigs County, Ohio. She was the daughter of ALVIN HYSELL and MARY/MARTHA PAYNE. She was born about 1858 in Meigs County, Ohio, and died Unknown. He married (2) BARBARA FRANCISCA HEITZ April 28, 1890 in Meigs County, Ohio. She was the daughter of JOSEPH HEITZ and CHRISTINA OHLINGER. She was born May 11, 1868, and died February 08, 1948 in Ohio.

Her parents were GEORG OHLINGER, b. about 1819 and ELISABETHA UNKNOWN, b. about 1820. CHRISTINA OHLINGER also had two brothers. MARTIN OHLINGER and HENRY OHLINGER. Records indicate that they were younger than Christina, but birth dates have conflicting sources.

If Catherine (the mother) is no longer living, the woman in the middle row next to George Sr, must be Mary, as she is the oldest girl.

Sherri Schäefer Bagby Note: My Great, Great Grandmother was Christina Ohlinger. As per above, EDWARD BRUTUS SCHAEFER married (2) BARBARA FRANCISCA HEITZ April 28, 1890 in Meigs County, Ohio. She was the daughter of JOSEPH HEITZ and CHRISTINA OHLINGER. She was born May 11, 1868, and died February 08, 1948 in Ohio.

Her parents were GEORG OHLINGER, b. about 1819 and ELISABETHA UNKNOWN, b. about 1820. CHRISTINA OHLINGER also had two brothers. MARTIN OHLINGER and HENRY OHLINGER. Records indicate that they were younger than Christina, but birth dates have conflicting sources.

As stated on Robin's web site, HENRY OHLINGER is the young man on the top, left and MARTIN OHLINGER is on the far right in the middle row. Judging from the age of those two men and the young woman in the first row on the far left, and from the close resemblence of HENRY OHLINGER to that young woman, I believe that she is CHRISTINA OHLINGER, my Great, Great Grandmother. I do not have any living relatives who can identify her.

Notes for DAYTON ASHWORTH: Dayton Ashworth was a cousin to Helene Elizabeth "Helen" Schaefer. He trained Helen's son, Clifford in the skill of watchmaker/watch repair. He also taught him much about jewelry. From this, Clifford was able for a time, to have his own Jewelry store where he also repaired and sold watches and clocks in Glouster, Ohio.
