WILHELM HEFFKEN was born August 29, 1859 in Germany, and died June 01, 1916 in Glouster, Ohio [Athens County]. He married THEODORA "DORA" STELTERMANN November 11, 1885 in Germany. She was born November 13, 1859 in Germany, and died December 1941 in Glouster, Ohio [Athens County].

Notes for JOHANN HEFFKEN:
Johann died at sea, at the age of 5, on the ship that was bringing his family to America. His grief stricken Mother would not let go of the dead child, so in order for the officials to talk her into letting him go, they promised her that they would save his body until they reached America where he could have a proper burial. Unknown to the family, the authorities buried Johann at sea. It was not known by the family that this had taken place until they reached the shores of America.
3. HELENA "LENA" ELIZABETH HEFFKEN, b. April 18, 1889, Oberhausen, West Germany; d. August 28, 1970, Nelsonville, Ohio [Nelsonville Hospital].
